We both made it safe and sound back from our local dive bar. The service from our favorite bartender Sanjay was lousy as usual with lots of backtalk and the karaoke was an assault on the senses, but at least the tourists are thinning out considerably. After a couple of cheap tequilas on the rocks we headed home, did our evening stroll around the neighborhood and made some dinner. Maxine made some of her lime cilantro slaw before our walk and when we got back she dried the shrimp off and seasoned them with salt, pepper, garlic powder, cumin and chili powder. I tossed it in the skillet for a couple of minutes on each side and we were ready to serve. Those aren't just paper plates...
