I am kicking the idea around about getting a new benelli m2 20 gauge from bass pro before the promotion they have going on right now runs out and unless im looking at it wrong the only option available for that gun in a 20 gauge and bottomland camo is a 28 inch barrel. The longest barrel I've ever seen on a 20 gauge is a 26 inch barrel and was wondering what the advantages would be if any with having a 28 inch barrel vs a 26 inch barrel.

The logic is when shooting waterfowl or dove it helps with the swing and a slight edge in velocity. In the real world I don’t think it’s noticeable. May be noticeable if you shot skeet at like a competitive level but otherwise probably nothing

I think the 26th is the last day to be able to get a benelli from them with 12 months interest free payments.

I ordered my m2 12ga with a 28" barrel. Ive had longer and shorter. The way I hunt 2 inches plus or minus isnt an issue

But the M2 wasn’t on sale this year from what I saw in the flyer. I saw the 12 months 0 interest but don’t remember seeing sale. They had super back Eagle but don’t remember seeing the M2 which is next shotgun I want.
