It's occured to me a few times recently I need to build a better collection of self sufficient / survival skill books. Farming. Animal husbandry, etc.
I actually have that. At both houses.
Found them all in thrift stores for just a few dollars.
Always been fascinated by books since I was a kid. In the summers growing up in east Birmingham I would either be at Wahouma park playing baseball, Cascade Plunge swimming, East Lake fishing or at East Lake library trying to win the summer reading contest.
Holy Shit! I know exactly where all that is. Been at all those places many times.
I lived across the street from Ruhama Baptist Church; was a great neighborhood back then. Do you remember Unk's Gun Shop and East Lake Bakery?
