Boho and I had coffee this morning, rode our tricycles for about 10 miles back and forth to the coffee shop in Gulf Shores. Some friends stopped by our table to say hi. We put the trikes up. Rode back to the bungalow. Made some fried breakfast burritos for brunch. Did a few chores around the house. Took a nap at 2:45. Just woke up about 10 minutes ago. Now we're fixing to get showers and ride down to our local dive bar, have a few tequilas, hang out with some friends and then come back to the house, make fresh shrimp tacos, eat some ice cream, watch some TV for the first time today, climb into bed, read a book, fall asleep and dream the dreams of people with few worries. It's wonderful...

What's this boredom thing you're talking about?

It's just going to take a while for you to adjust. You will eventually find your equilibrium and do as much or as little as you feel like. We personally love the freedom and don't mind the few times we are "bored."

People ask us why we don't have dogs when we're retired and they know we both love dogs. We're both like, "We raised 5 kids. We don't want anything else we have to take care of."
