I have flip flops for pretty much anywhere down here, barefoot shoes for kayaking on the river, sneakers for walking, hiking and working out, and boots for splitting and hauling firewood or cabin building chores...
I have nothing against the Crocs type shoes, I've just never figured out a reason to own any.
So you could get rid of all those other shoes and pack light when traveling. You'd also be the coolest cat in the mountains or on the beach. Mrs. Irish may be a bit jealous of all the female attention you'd be getting though.
