I can promise you one thing if I ever find something like that…..It wont say that he immediately turned it in…….At a bare minimum it’ll say that “He thought about it for a few days……and then turned it in”…….

And then they screwed up.... The workers contacted police right away. The hoard has since been moved to a secure location while investigators try to determine where it came from and who actually owns it.
WHO actually owns it is ME for the bars that I stuffed in my pockets. Melted gold is untraceable and you can bet your ass that I'd have me some!

I’d leave a bar and a damaged piece in kinda plain view and let them look for themselves. The rest would be melted into rings or small bars. Sell em for spot across the us

If I find it on your property, then yes, it's yours, and I hope you would be generous in rewarding me.
My property? Never heard of that, and not sure why you are asking me. Would you like to buy a fresh nugget? Or 12?
Gold is soft. I bet you could chip those up with some heavy snips. Pawn shops only report transactions over $10,000. I could live a really fun life on $7500 a week.

It was found in Belgium. The sewer workers will get half of the hoard and the property owner will get the other half, if it is found to not be stolen gold. They have treasure hoard laws there because folks find things all the time, especially during construction projects.
