What would yall check. Parents bought Lennox three years ago. Flawless first two years. This summer it will not get cold. Power bill doubles or more. Well the ac man we trust and have used for thirty years installed and Keeps saying all the numbers are in the parameters. He’s been out two times. Coming again Monday. The inlet temp is 78 and the vent temps are 73-75 depending on the vent. He says it’s the attic temp. Maybe during day. But at night it will not get below 76/77. Runs all night. If all parameters are good. And not getting cold. What is it. Sucking from attic ? I’ve looked and can’t find anything is about the only thing I can think.
Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

I'd get a 2nd opinion and have someone else look at it....I've always "heard" that output at the vent should be 20-25 lower than intake....so if it's taking in 78 at the return, it should at least be spitting out air around 60ish, give or take.

You might have a duct that has.become unattached in The attic
Does the unit have a Thermal expansion valve? I had a problem with mine and the TXV made it act very similar
Well, the way I see it is there's just too many assholes On a good day there's a bunch of assholes in here. On a bad day there's too many assholes in here.

Could be a number of things. But if your A/C guy thinks everything is fine with a 3-5 degree deltaT, he's either incompetent or a liar. Call someone else.

Let me rephrase. After his second time coming out. We didn’t know this. We started doing our own homework with the temps. That’s why we called him back to come And see what he thinks again. It’s should be at the bare minimum 15 degrees temp drop he said. But should’ve be 18-22 he said.
Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

Did he see if the outside unit need cleaning or if the inside needed cleaning . If it ain't getting air through those coils it won't cool right
I guess he checked it to see if it had enough freon in it.

Delta t needs to be 16 at a minimum. The lower the supply vs return the better your cooling efficiency. Txv would be my first guess if nothing has changed other than not keeping up. They probably didn’t use nitrogen when they soldered the joints and that soot has been trapped in n the txv causing it to stick. Bet the super heat and sub cooling are way off but “ pressures aren’t bad”

Watch shows like Holmes on homes using thermal detector. Get a second opinion or home inspection. Lived in an old homes years ago that leaked terrible around large picture window. Drafts can be anywhere. A good home inspector may be needed regardless of ac issue, save $$$$.
