Age old debate... does the ability to provide help in these situations outweigh the abuses opened up by unethical people? I would probably be for the cameras IF access was extremely limited. Obviously, at this point, if regular police officers can access information, that's a problem.
With all due respect to Cynical’s situation (and honest police officers) there’s no excuse good enough to sacrifice your freedom and civil rights. Those who would give up freedom, for the symbolism of security, deserve neither.

I'm in the middle on it. I don't particularly think not having your license plate read is a "freedom." Too much of a good thing is almost always a problem, which is why I'm in the middle on it.

I don't take offense to your suggestion that I don't deserve freedom, but you might consider that's a pretty obnoxious statement without more context.

Limiting freedom is a slippery slope. When it comes to our civil liberties, I don’t think you can have too much. Outback was just using a Ben Franklin quote that applies perfectly to the Flock surveillance state
