Avoid them like the plague. Had my oil changed there for my civic and bill was 144 for 4 qts of pennzoil synthetic ,filter and change. They did knock off 25.00 so that lowered it to 117. Honda dealership is 74 with full synthetic, filter and change. I hope their greed gets around and all they do is play cards everyday

Oil changes have gotten stupid, yes oil has gone up but not up like that.
Set of ramps, 3/8” socket set, filter socket/wrench, drain bucket, new oil, new filter and you changed your oil for $25-40 for a Civic(excluding tools)

That's a little high. 5 quarts of pennzoil is $36 at Walmart and the filter is around $12. You're paying for drive up convenience. You'll have to make an appointment at Honda. They will do it cheaper because they hope to find other things they can make money on. Take 5 only makes it on the oil change and maybe wiperblades and air filters. $100 is pretty standard at most quick change places.

I just had my oil changed this morning. I buy the oil and filter, and my buddy at our local shop does it for me.
Im getting too old to climb under my truck. $35
Life is a journey. Make sure and bring plenty of Beer.
My luck has been so bad lately, it could be raining pussies and I'd catch one with a dick broke off in it.

If they replace the engine air and cabin air filter I might could see that cost depending on the filter quality. I can get the 5 qt jug of good quality 0w20 and Napa Good filter for under $60. Air filters can jump that cost pretty quickly.
I hate making a good first impression. There’s no way I can keep that shit up.

I’d need to see an itemized statement on that. Also, I never pay for ANY service unless I know in advance what cost to expect

I still do my own service but I don’t know how much longer. It hurts a little more every time.

Unless they are having to vacuum it out theres no way an oil change should be over $100 even with cabin and air filter. Oil and oil filter should be around $30-$35. Cabin and air filters around $9-$15 a piece and you should only be doing that yearly unless you are in extreme dirt/dust climate.

Take 5 is absolutely that expensive, and a complete ripoff.
When my son was home for Christmas last year, he and my wife went to run some errands at Eastern Shore. I told them to take his car and get the oil changed while out. They went to Take 5.
$114 for a 2020 Chevy Blazer, and they were wanting to charge about $75 more to change the engine and cabin air filters. Thankfully, my wife called and asked if they should let them do it.

I do my own oil changes. My Tundra holds 8.5 quarts and I use 0W20 Mobile One Full Synthetic. Add a Wix filter and I was at $120 last time I changed it. I lost trust in others doing this chore long ago.

Can sometimes catch the oil on special for around $6 a quart.

The $120 was for the Tundra and Corolla and included 2 extra filters for each.

I do my own because I don't trust the techs at these places This My nephew has worked at a couple of these places and now works at a firestone shop in Mobile...I've seen his "oil change and tire technician abilities" and I wouldn't let him work on a bicycle, let alone, my vehicle. He called me one day and said he had changed the oil in my dad's fairly new zero turn mower and it was smoking like crazy. I go over there and asked if he changed the oil or just added oil to it. He said he changed it. I asked him where the oil was that he drained out and he said he didn't drain any out, just put new in it. I told him that was not changing the oil. The kawasaki engine on that mower holds about 2.25 qts of oil...when I pulled the oil cap off, oil poured out. I bet I drained 3.5 to 4 qts of oil out.

Kinda the reason I quit taking mine to the dealer. $100 plus for a 6.6 gas. Parts store filter that's ok, but not an OEM. I change my own, Wix and Mobil 1, keep receipts, and take it to a local shop for tire rotations and front end grease. Think he charged me $35 last time. Well worth it.
