Looking to purchase a few stands for my kids and I to use this season. I am a little overwhelmed by the amount of options. We have a few older two man stands at the club that become unbearable after a few hours. What is the go to for a two man stand? Anyone ever sat in a Rivers Edge stand?

Millinum ladder stands are the most comfortable I've had.

Millennium is all that I will use. Super safe, starting, and very comfortable.

Muddy makes a really comfortable, well built and safe 20’ single man ladder. I think they make a 17’ double. Millennium is really good but I’d much rather put a Muddy up. It has the arms that tighten around the tree once you stand it up, so you do not have to worry about it coming off the tree when you climb up to strap it off. Both are sling seat type, excellent stands, and very comfortable.

Safest way to attach a ladder stand after you stand it up is use an extension ladder on the back side of the tree.

I wouldn’t have anything other than a millennium. And walt4dun is correct. Use an extension ladder on the backside of the tree and use two ropes. Definitely a two or 3 man job but bar far the most comfortable stand out there!
Hunting brings out the worst in people.

They used to offer 2 different versions of the 2 man, one had a fixed seat and the other had a folding seat. Both are great, the folding is easier if you stand upright a lot.

Tree stands are just not something to go cheap IMO.
I was happy with the Muddy stands...
Until I bought a Millennium ladder stand.
The difference in quality and strength was obvious when I was assembling the Millennium. It feels stronger climbing the ladder and they're very comfortable. Worth every penny.

Only thing close to a Millennium is a Hawk. We have both, and I would hate to have to choose which to toss out.

I have a Hawk Denali 1.5. Very comfortable but the squirrels chewed the seat and made it unsafe. Hawk does not sell replacement seats. I hounded them about it last year thinking I could get them to sell me one but they wouldn't budge.
