Get after it man! It's such a blast. I paddled up into a shallow area that was legitimately only like 4" deep...kayak was dragging in the mud. I could see one belly crawling around an area the size of an average living room and occasionally chasing bait. I got as close as I could without spooking him, slowly stood up and cast that fly, landed it about 3' from him. He immediately turned on it and chased it, kicking up water the whole way. And once he hit it all hell broke loose. After about 30 seconds, he got back out into deeper (2-3') water and I was able to actually fight him for a few minutes until he decided he'd had enough
