Personally, for me it is the Cahaba River about Perry County, but I've seen plenty of photos from Wheeler.
I have never actually laid eyes on one, but I have found tracks, nests and gator slides into the water as far up the cahaba as centreville and even back up into some of the cahaba tributaries like the Ocmulgee that cuts Dallas and Perry county in half.
