Well I was going yearly just hoping Bloodwork may show any issue before I noticed any symptoms. But I recently changed Dr's. 2 questions. Do y'all take new patients and do you accept my insurance. Yes. Well, I had a face to face to meet my new Dr once, and 3 months later my blood was drawn for labs. I never heard from them since. But I did get a bill for $497.00. I think I'm done unless i get freaky sick. I'm tired of people and a system trying to ra pe people Were your labs normal? No clue. I haven't heard from them after blood was drawn. Only the $497 bill Don't agree; but some Doctors don't follow up if there are no results of concern. Do they have portal where you can view the results. If not ; I would request a copy Once you have a baseline you can follow and trends/changes? Personally; I do my labs BEFORE my appointment. At UAB; they are posted to the portal within 24-48 hours(unless they have to grow a culture or something that takes time) and I review them and have my questions(if anything is out of normal range) to discuss with Dr. on my appointment. Most efficient for the Dr and myself. The UAB portal system is excellent.
