Older folks in their late 70s up still believe the Doctor is right under God. They do whatever they say no questions asked. My age group not so much. I think they have their place but I definitely don’t think they know everything. Thats why its called “practicing” medicine.
Older folks are used to a high trust society.
That's why they scammed so easily. They can't imagine someone purposely misleading them.
