Catfish bite is starting to turn back on. Saturday we landed a total of 167 lbs of catfish with the two largest being 40 and 43 lbs. We caught all our fish by anchoring in just two spots. Find the deep holes on the outside river bends. Plus it helped that we finally had a decent current. Cut bait was still the key. Nothing was caught on live bait. The two biggest fish were caught on large chunks freshwater drum. I do miss the days when I could easily catch skipjack below G Dam. It's been at least three years since I have caught one.
