Perhaps somebody can explain. I dont have a Tesla so I dont know. But when I'm going through a large city on the interstate, like Atlanta, I see Tesla's keeping pace with the traffic. Everybody knows keeping pace there is always +15 over the speed limit. How does autopilot deal with that or do you just cut it off and take over so you dont get run over?

It seems to follow the traffic most of the time on interstates. You do have to be careful when on 2 lanes and you approach a small town with lower limits. It does not always slow down as quickly as it needs to. Speed issues are my only complaint with the tesla driving. sometimes it won't go fast enough and sometimes too fast. you can adjust as you go though. Overall it is pretty awesome technology. And it handles 7 lanes of atlanta traffic like a boss.
I would absolutely hate to be a cop and have to deal with issues like that or drunks or junkies or just plain ole belligerence. My hats off to those of you that are LEOs and have that kind of patience.
It’s not a valid defense but the man does have a point. He was literally not driving. He is legally liable but it’s crazy that the company (Tesla or any other) allows you to break the law. Surprising really.

I posted about my buddy picking us up in his Tesla to take us out to eat. The Tesla drove us all the way there and back and he never touched the steering wheel. I was surprised to see the car speeding both ways in self driving mode.
However you can change that in the settings. So the driver should still legally be at fault.

If i'm liable for a speeding ticket from a traffic cam because the car is registered to me...then anyone sitting behind the wheel of a self driving car should be liable.
