Saw a fawn today on the side of I65 in Limestone County.

Hope it didn't try to cross.

Is it 205??......That would be a little closer to what I've always thought as the peak fawn drop in late Aug.......Peak rut is probably more like Jan 28-29......putting peak fawn drop at Aug 21-22.......In areas with the late Jan rut

And that’s about dead on for what I’ve seen in Clarke, plus/minus a few days. I’ve always said the Presidents’ Day holiday is a good time to be in the woods.

January 22nd - February 3rd is when I see the most action. Of course, they will still rut into April around here as we have way too many does. When do you see the most rut activity?

I cheated and used google and 205 is what came up. But now it says 200 so as usual the interwebnet lies.

I’m in pigeon forge. Saw one cross the road yesterday that wasn’t very big. Was tripping over his own feet.

Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

My phone screen does not always work right, usually a lot of misspelled words....

I've got two very small fawns in my back yard, smallest I have seen in a while.

I've spent most of the money I've made in my lifetime on hunting and fishing. The rest I just wasted.....
