I’ve been chasing for 30 plus years and never had one gobble to a pileated Indian bird. Literally have had birds standing in site and one fly between and do his thing. Nothing!!

Another guy I know says he’s heard them but rarely.

Our birds used to hammer all morning long. Kinda like those crazy rios. Not no more. The rock quarry would drop a load into the crusher and birds far and wide would hammer. They ignore those sounds now as well.

Someday they gobble, some days they don’t.
