IRAN SAYS HORMUZ DEAL CLOSE, BUT CONDITIONS REMAIN
Iran says it is “very close” to a shipping agreement with Oman over the Strait of Hormuz, but warned the deal alone won’t reopen the vital waterway.
Tehran says reopening depends on Washington accepting additional conditions, including compensation.
The US says it will lift its blockade of Iranian ports once unrestricted commercial shipping resumes.
