I need about three nights of me loading 22-250. I refuse to purchase rounds when I've got components for more than I'll shoot the next 10 Years. Just prices of components. Damn. Don't want to replace what I have. Its a far cry from 22-250 (great round), but the 300 Black is my economical choice for a blasting round. My loads above are in new brass, but I've been loading the older brass I have for years. The bullets were 26 cent each, delivered (way up from last time I ordered). A splash of H110 (18.5 grains) is a stark contrast to the powder requirements of larger rounds. This economy goal extends to my 44 Magnum loads and 45-70 loads too. The 45-70 is running a 405 Rimrock over 12 grains of BE-86 (if memory serves) for 1250 fps. Great low cost, accurate blasting load. I've been thinking of loading plain ole 230 FMJ pistol bullets for a low (er) cost 450 Bushmaster practice load. My problem is that I like to shoot! It is getting costly with the current devaluation of the dollar, but reloading helps mitigate that to a degree. The other thing is this, I like to reload ammo. Especially "easy" rounds like the straight walls and 300 Blackout. I shudder to think how many rounds I've loaded in the past 35 years. Tens of thousands, to be sure.
