Have you guys not seen the median guard rails and cables on I-65?? There ain’t a 5-mile stretch that’s hasn’t been ran over. Really hard to keep the juice following with cars continuously wrecking the panels. It would be no different than when a car hits a power pole on any random road anywhere. Repair crews come out, fix it, rinse repeat. Yeah but that repair would require putting lives in serious danger and causing massive traffic problems. Isn't that the case almost anywhere on a busy road when a power pole gets knocked down in a wreck? I'm sure you have seen more than you care to remember, but aint that just part of the job? Interstate is a whole different beast. Falls under federal traffic control regulations and even urgent repairs require advanced planning, protocols and permits. It’s not just red tape either it’s for legit safety reasons. Once you go beyond the 55 mph zone it’s not just a matter of setting up signs and running strobes. A lot of men and equipment have to be dedicated to the traffic control operation.
I hate making a good first impression. There’s no way I can keep that shit up.
