How do they pay you:
- $/lb live weight
- $/lb after butchering
- Do they look at each cow and give you a $ for them - auction
Live weight is what they pay. They take out a 2% fee for shrink. Shrink is the weight they’ll lose from our farm to the farm they are going to. In simple terms.
Calf weighed 736lbs, take 2% off that and you get 722lbs. We get paid for 722lbs.
