It was really good, if not a little fancy for the two lovebirds...

I had 3 dirty martinis and Boho, being much smaller in stature than I only had 2. We felt pretty good when we left. Boho is an excellent driver... grin

The food and the service were impeccable as usual. The flavors in both our meals were something that I'm not so sure Boho and I on our best day could have recreated in our kitchen, and that's saying a lot. I only had a bite of Boho's, because I didn't want to get stabbed in the hand with a fork. On my meal, all 3 of the main components could have easily stood on their own as an entree, the redfish, the hash and red pepper mornay could have all been served separately and all still been fantastic, but as it was they worked incredibly well together.

Boho had the "Seared Grouper with miso corn pudding, edamame, bacon, shishito, citrus and sesame" I don't make this stuff up...

I had the "Seared redfish, with wagyu brisket hash, red pepper mornay and caviar creme fresh" I didn't make that up either... Those descriptions are straight off the menu.

This is what two idiots look like after a couple of martinis... grin

Oh... and in case you're wondering the bill was $154 before tip. Two meals, 5 martinis, and about 8 of their little homemade rolls.

MAn that looks awesome... I had to leave the beach early this year or I would have gone with my wife there. I have heard nothing but fantastic stuff about the place.

I really wanted the scallops. That plate was $48... for THREE of them on some phenomenal bed of something. I only get scallops on a very special occasion... though this was special I just couldn't drop a half a Ben on three scallops. So I opted for the grouper which was the best. And how creative to serve over edamame. But Irish's meal... that smoky puree was insane.

Y'all we just don't spend big money to eat pretentious food and this was a bit pretentious for us... but it was certainly celebratory. Jesse's still remains my favorite down here.

Thanks. I looked at that picture again and both of our smiles were those, "Have you pressed the shutter button yet, smiles."

The grouper is only $4 less than the scallops.

The grouper is only $4 less than the scallops.

Still.. it was cheaper! LOL! I guess I thought I was getting more bang for those four bucks? Server said, "They are Michelin grade scallops." Hell, I ain't had Michelin ANYTHING! And will likely go on into glory without it! Sometimes my frugality gets on my own damn nerves.
