Been after em the last month or two. Been going about once a week if it’s too rough to fish offshore. Needless to say there’s been some good trips. Buddies daughter caught a flounder one night gigging in a net. 😂 ![[Linked Image from i.postimg.cc]](https://i.postimg.cc/D4hn43Y7/IMG-1968.jpg) [/url] ![[Linked Image from i.postimg.cc]](https://i.postimg.cc/Cn0Snp60/IMG-3401.jpg) [/img]

They are just by catch for me since I don’t know where to target them. Wait till the fall. If you ain’t got one then we will go get one or two in the marsh. I know where they will be then.

Fish for them like you would bass.....paddle tail swim baits are always a good option, artificial shrimp around structure or grass lines. Also, don't knock a chatterbait with a paddle tail trailer.

They will eat the crap out of a #4 gold blade snagless sally in the bruiser color, with a white or orange twin tailed trailer crawled slowly just above the grass. "bruiser" color is purple, black and blue skirt and with that twin tailed trailer, it mimics a crab really well.
Weightless zoom flukes and topwaters like spooks work well too. Only issue is the shape of a redfish's mouth. You can drop the fluke to them when they boil on it and they dont get it, but with the topwater, keep working the bait and do not set the hook until you actually feel the fish. They miss it a lot and as long as you keep working it, they'll generally keep hitting it until they get it.
All the scented baits like gulp will work on a jig head under a popping cork.

All the above. I use z man paddle rails and curl tails right now. Only cause you can catch a lot of fish on one. In the fall winter it’s fish bite curl tails or gulps under a cork agains the grass for red fish.

Thanks Gomer, that's what I was hoping would work! bass fishing for them is a load of fun...don't get me wrong. But THIS is the answer you seek, whether you realize it or not... "gurgler" flies are my favorite...basically a little soft foam popper. When redfish hit topwater, they get there fast and they arrive in a bad mood every time ![[Linked Image from spcdn.shortpixel.ai]](https://spcdn.shortpixel.ai/spio/ret_img,q_cdnize,to_webp,s_webp/midcurrent.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/01/hatch_orvis.jpg)

Specks and Reds come to my dock light to feed on bait shrimp drifting in the current. I have some videos if someone wants to post them.

Does that thing come with a pair of panties? Nope, but women will throw theirs at you when they see you slingin’ it, so there’s that
