I have a 10x16 and 8x8 I’m wanting to insulate and put walls in, was looking at batt style but they have these spray foam kits, it’s seems cheaper to spray foam kit far as square feet price. Anyone ever used the kits??

I'm following this as I'm looking into it myself. I don't know about the small cans and have looked at the kits with the larger tanks. They seem to offer a higher R value per inch than the small canned stuff. I'd like to hear from someone who has used it.

You need open cell for the roof and walls right ?
And closed for like under the house.

Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

My phone screen does not always work right, usually a lot of misspelled words....

I've always heard open cell was for the roof so leaks could be detected but closed cell was OK for the walls. But......that's just what I've heard and I have no experience in the field.

Thanks. I’m thinking about a DIY for my parents roof.

I recently went down the spray foam rabbit hole and ended up doing rock wool instead.
