Actually starting a gym membership in the morning. Working nights I never had the energy to do it after work

Check into Mots C. You will have plenty of energy and your cells will be using all the fat your are burning from the reta a lot more efficiently.

Let me know if I can help you get your hands on them.

How do these peptides work along with or against medications

Well that would highly depend on what medications you are talking about. I know in a lot of cases, people that are on high blood pressure meds, anti inflammatory or IL blockers, and diabetes meds like metformin end up titrating off of those meds because they don’t need them anymore.

But yeah it would highly depend on what the medication does for you.

Interesting... What made you decide to try the peptides after only 9 weeks of working out? Were you not getting the results you wanted, or you felt you had such a long way to go you needed a boost to get there?

Reason I ask is... I've been working out for years and years. I've got detailed workout spreadsheets with exercises, sets, reps, weights, notes, BF% and body weight that I've kept in Google Sheets that go back to 2020. And that's just the ones I have saved in Google.

I've determined through some self evaluation that I workout, just because I enjoy the process of it all. Being a fit 66 year old guy is just a nice byproduct. I enjoy lifting, eating right, keeping detailed records, trying to lift a little more each time, even if it's just 2.5 pounds or one more rep than I did last week.

Thankfully Boho has gotten into it just about as much as I am and we both got to the gym and lift together 3 mornings a week and she gets really excited when she can get an extra rep or add a little weight to her bench press.

I think enjoying the process is the key to sticking with it. Especially when you get as old as I am. A gal at the gym was asking me a question just yesterday and I told her, "Building your body is like sculpting Michelangelo's David with a dental pick."

I've done some more studying on this and it is really interesting to see people basically treating their bodies like a Bro Science project.

This is just a quick search on Reddit...

I also asked AI if you can take peptides as a natural bodybuilder and this is what she said...

Taking peptides generally means you are not considered strictly natural ("natty") in the fitness and bodybuilding community, though opinions are mixed depending on the specific peptide used. Peptides are performance-enhancing agents or synthetic signal molecules, meaning using them alters your biology beyond typical diet, training, and basic legal supplements.

Unregulated injectable peptides used for bodybuilding are not considered safe, as they lack long-term human safety trials, proper FDA approval, and reliable quality control. While some people view them as milder alternatives to anabolic steroids because they stimulate natural growth hormone pathways, they still carry significant health risks.

Safety Concerns and Risks

Unverified purity: Gray-market or online-purchased peptides often arrive unverified, meaning they can contain dangerous bacterial, chemical, or heavy-metal contaminants.

Adverse immune reactions: Injecting foreign amino acid sequences can trigger severe allergic reactions, inflammation, or autoimmune responses.

Unknown long-term effects: There is a severe lack of rigorous clinical data on how repetitive use of growth hormone secretagogues affects human metabolism or organ growth over time.

Side effects: Common complaints include water retention, joint pain, headaches, nausea, and insulin resistance.

Thanks to everyone for their comments.

Yes I'm familiar with MOTs-C but started with Reta to drop some pounds first. I'm going to give either Wolverine Stack or KLOW a try to help with joint pains and inflammation as I'm just getting back to the gym. I'm not trying to be a body builder just going to work on overall health, flexibility and stamina. I plan to hit the woods hard this year and I'm trying to get ready for it.
If I feel I need an extra boost then I will give MOTs-C a try. It's a bit on the pricey side and I don't want to mix to many things I want to know which one is doing what.

Totally understandable. You are going to feel great once you get the lift routine going again!

Thanks to everyone for their comments.

Those concerns that Al listed are common known concerns in the peptide circles. Getting gray market peptides lab tested for purity is common practice. So far everything I have had tested comes back at 99%-99.9% pure. If you have autoimmune issues you have to be careful. My injection sites do get a histamine reaction from time to time. An itchy little welp. It’s not necessarily the peptide doing that. I can just inject bac water and it will do the same thing sometimes. There are definitely side effects GLP1s cause nausea and constipation at some levels. It’s very manageable. Joint pain, headaches, and insulin resistance are all common side affects of using certain ones that are either manageable or it just means you are using too much for your particular body. It’s best to start with very small doses and titrate up to get the results.

Just a reminder… the FDA (our government) approved a lot of highly dangerous medications with severe side effects. Eating unhealthy and not exercising has severe side affects.

If any of you suffer from bad delta wave sleep… you should look into DSIP to reset your sleep cycle. It has been a game changer for my wife.

Construction and sales 🤣

I’m just a research nerd Irish. No medical background. But I like to learn and dig into things. I used to think knowledge was power, but I’ve recently learned that knowledge + action is power.

My doctor is a good friend of mine. I talk to him extensively about all things health related. He uses TRT and peptides. That’s not the reason I use them but I value his opinion on them. I research things for myself and get my own opinion on stuff. I also soak in other’s opinions if they seem knowledgeable on a subject.

How is it going?

I'm stuck at 225# for 7 reps on my bench and I'd like to go up without killing myself.
