I did weeks of therapy for that mess. It felt like I had been hit with a ball-bat in the shoulder blade, tingling down the arm etc... To this day it pulls two fingers together on my left hand. Get the therapy. I'm avoiding the surgery for as long as possible because there are many things that can go wrong. It is a high risk surgery. The massaging shower head and disciplined neck stretching exercises have helped a lot. I had to learn how to do those correctly but if you do them under the shower head on the massage setting it makes a huge difference.
