The typical social media suspects are already calling this hero a “a racist MAGA murderer”.

I hate making a good first impression. There’s no way I can keep that shit up.

Not surprised Outback. It was either MAGA, Trump, or the guns fault. If he was shooting FMJs in 5.7, I'm just hoping some of the injured are not background collateral damage.

I have one and I do carry it often. It’s really just a glorified 22 mag but I want it and you can never have too many.

Shouldn’t be too hard to investigate. One hole in the head, suicide. More than one hole in shooters body, other person or other persons were involved and shot him too. It ain’t rocket science.

We are not hearing what really happened because it’s too soon. Media has not yet decided how they want to spin it and who or what they want that spin to benefit.

The problem is the narrative someone is trying to create. Assholes on both sides of the spectrum are hiding the truth. Truth will come out. But until then, everything is speculation.

Cudos to the defender. Don't care what else happened. He stood up and tried. That's really all that matters.

According to reports the other armed citizen was a former Leo and was shot in the arm. He kept the gunman from entering the In n out burger joint

I'm not saying everyone should walk around with an AR or your shotgun(That would cause segments of the population to act right though.). But tote something big enough to shoot fast and well.Never loaded 5.7 but 21 shots light recoil easy to hit things with sounds good. Yes the lcp or mini revolver hides easy but is 5 rounds of 22 mag or 6 rounds of 380 enough?

Situational awareness is key. I’m not planning to run into the gunfight with only a sidearm if I can use it to make my exit. I’ll get away and get my hands on some additional firepower. So to answer that question, yes the 5 or 6 rounds will be enough “most” of the time. If I’m going into New Orleans or Atlanta I’m toting a double stack mag with a spare. If I’m just going to town for bread and potatoes I’ll probably the Walther P22.

Police Chief said there were two that intervened...

In a Sunday afternoon press conference, Twin Falls Police Chief Matthew Hicks said Williams acted alone. Two other people — an off-duty state trooper and an armed citizen — "actively engaged" Williams "by returning gunfire towards him."

Hicks said authorities believe the pair helped drive Williams from the scene "preventing further casualties."

That’s the thing
So many people think a pistol is proficient in all scenarios. It’s not hard to miss in a highly stressed situation even at close range.
