Probably confessed that it was all him to try to keep them out of it. He was already assured he was going back to prison over it on the felon in possession of a gun charges and knew it. He also probably knew that the wildlife convictions in AL would not carry any significant additional penalty for him so he just owned it all for his wife and friend.
