In Alabama. I saw one two separate times in Lay Lake back around 2000 but nobody believes me. Only other ones I have seen were in Millers Ferry and Eufala. What say ye?

There's a good population on Wheeler W R. There has been at least one confirmed in central Jackson Co. a few years ago.

Flint River just above Hobbs Island road. Madison County AL. Had to be 10-12 years ago. Sucker was around 8 ft long, slid down the bank towards our boat and dove ...

I don't want to pass quietly into the night. I want to slide in sideways kickin and screamin

Not Alabama but just to give an 'in the wild example' of a northern gator, one was seen and captured not far from my camp in central Hardin County, TN near the little hamlet of Cerro Gordo TN.

Get the F out of the BATFE. The F is guaranteed by the US Constitution. Those other letters are not.

Personally, for me it is the Cahaba River about Perry County, but I've seen plenty of photos from Wheeler.

I caught one in a farm pond that was 11’ in Cullman. I had one try to take a deer from me in the TN River just outside Decatur. It was 10+. I also caught two in Blount County that were 7’ and 8’.

I'm training the ones around Huntsville that jet skiers are just another form of fast food. There is one in that little creek next to Ditto's.

There was another woman killed by one a few weeks ago in Florida hiking by a creek......I dont understand why we are letting these things slowly take over every waterway in the state until they reach a point that its potentially dangerous to even get in the water somewhere

Because they are endangered CNC. Don’t ya know. It’s why they only award a few tags once a year. It’s true too. I mean, if you pull up into the mouth of Chuckfee Bay on the Mobile delta right after dark and shine a spotlight, you probably won’t see more than 40 or 50 glowing sets of eyes. It should be obvious that there aren’t many around and that they need protecting. They won’t be happy and think there are enough, until you can walk across gator backs from one side of the mobile delta to the other.

You do understand they are a native critter to our waterways and each state allows hunting. It’s a risk you take if you decide to play in water. What’s your proposal? Total eradication?

Yes I do understand that…….I also understand that there are a lot of other critters that once roamed the southeast that I don’t need infesting the woods and waterways that the current civilization is utilizing for recreational purposes……Sometimes its about just things that make simple rational sense in today’s world and not the narrative about “native species” and such……We have no problem understanding why deer populations cant grow to the point that they become a severe nuisance to our current way of life……But we are allowing gators to just reproduce pretty much unimpeded until one day they will have taken our recreational water resource away for the sake of gators……You ever see anyone swimming in Lake Eufaula??
