^^^ That and kicking up a sounder of hogs seem to be what that reticle was designed for. I’ve shot stuff running from 5ft to over 100yards with that reticle, and stuff standing much further. If it’s not as fast as an RDS, it’s close. It’s far more versatile than an RDS. I think they’re possibly more instinctive for those raised on irons, and many that are critical of them just don’t have any idea of where/how they’re used to best effect. They definitely aren’t for all types of hunting or the best for bean fields, box blinds, or open western range hunts…..but for fast AND precise, they’re hard to beat up close.
