I have an idea to build a pen to flight condition some quail with a batting cage. Gonna bury a chain link fence around it to exclude the digging critters out. Other than that, my only other idea was to charge another fence around that.
Any of yall have any ideas?

Most of the flight pens I've seen have been really tall, that conditions the birds to fly higher than ground level. Also think about something you can rig to make them fly, a hawk silhouette on a pulley, have roost sites where they can fly up on their own if they are gonna be in there for an extended period of time.
It isn't necessary to see a good tackle...you can hear it.

Look up Memphis Net and Twine. They sell FCC’s. Think the one they built for my FIL’s friend was 40x125. Can’t even recognize it now due to all the Kudzu growing on it. If I would have moved up here five years ago, it would now be a greenhouse.

Any of yall have any ideas? Not a bad idea Mine was smaller but I had hanging sticks all around for them to fly up to and back down. The pheasants rooster on them and liked trying to look out. The quail not so much. I had a black visual barrier all around the one to keep predators from seeing the birds. That’s how I saw other large scale operations keep their birds. Mine was only 4-5 ft high. Those were 8-10 ft high.
