I agree, firebreaks and divide it up, then burn (for access and hunting).
If timber is your goal, wait till year 3 then you can see what you have. A bush hog head on a bobcat will do wonders. You can make your own rows and leave pines in each row. I don’t like bulldozers in my stands anymore unless I have to, it always washes and you push off topsoil.
Going to look at a 75 HP Takeuchi Monday. Will definitely be adding a brush cutter to it. Can’t wait to get it in the woods.
