Iam pro statin, doctors don’t make money on a 5 dollar drug, sure there’re bad but so is heart bypass, if you’re big with high cholesterol and old then you better pick your poison Doctors can no longer be paid by drug companies; unless they are formally paid research. And, those relationships are public information. Current generic Atorvastain is less than a $1 per pill; without insurance. I'm not saying Dr's are paid. A lot of training Dr's get is funded by Big Pharma. They teach Dr's to push pills because it makes them money. Dr's are just doing what they have been taught.
