Young people need to work harder and stop buying $6 coffee! By Gawt! They should take peanut butter sammiches to work! $20 an hour is a lot of money! I always laugh when someone blames "young folks" financial hardship on "buying Starbucks every day" (I'm not sure why Starbucks gets singled out so often in this discussion, but it does). Lets assume they buy one EVERY DAY on the way to work and let's say, conservatively, that they take 2 weeks vacation each year. Worst case scenario, they're buying 250 starbucks drinks/year (50 weeks x 5/week). At $6 ea, that's $1500 per year.
