Your hospital story made me think of what I guess would be the closest thing I have ever experienced to a "Ghost Story."

Our oldest son was very sick with liver failure at Grandview. Alcoholism and drugs were the cause. I had been visiting everyday and knew he didn't have long. I had stopped by that morning to check on him, but this had been going on for a while, so I went on in to my office in Inverness for a little while to check on some things, when the hospital called and said I needed to come back over, because he was close. I called my Dad and Boho on the way and they rushed over to meet me.

When we got there, the doctor was there, a couple of nurses and this black lady minister with dreadlocks was there too. She was a sweet soul. She sang this acapella version of Amazing Grace. We were all crying by the end. She looked at us and told us he was ready. She told us that they know when folks get there and it lets them release their soul back to God. I held his hand for a little while and kissed him on the forehead and about that time he flatlined. As soon as he did I felt this incredible rush come through my body that is hard to describe to anyone that has never experienced it. It was very similar to when the Holy Spirit moves in you if you have ever experienced that. It was his spirit moving through me and it knocked me to my knees. It's not everyday you hold your son in your hands and feel his soul leave this Earth, but I know 100% that is what I felt. I've never had that happen before or since, but I know what it was because I've felt the Holy Spirit move in me many times.

He was single his whole life and never had any kids. Years later I had this dream. It was super vivid, but it was more like a vision. In that vision it was like some alternative timeline, or alternative universe or Heaven. I don't know. But I just remember seeing Chris in this field of flowers. He was holding this gal's hand. She was a cute lady and she was his wife. I just knew this. He had his arm around her. She was holding the hand of a little toddler boy about 3 years old and Chris was holding a little baby girl maybe about a year old in his other arm. They were the children he never had. They were just standing there looking at me as soft breeze blew. They all seemed very happy and contented.

I believe it was God's way of letting me know that everything was OK and Chris was indeed in a better place free from his demons and addictions. I remember telling Boho about it the next morning.

I know that there ar e people on here that don't think I believe in God correctly and I know that I'm probably a little "out there" for most people, but I can tell you that I believe in God 100% and I believe we are eternal spirits inhabiting these bodies made up of energy and atoms for a short time after which we either return to God or we are separated from God. I know that I know this...
