Never was going to be any accountability. The deep state would never even appear to admit wrongdoing or incompetence. The government cannot allow itself to be seen as responsible for hundred of thousands of deaths. Indicting Fauci would peel back too many layers of a really rotten onion. Corruption in how our tax dollars are spent, corruption in how the medical industry uses those tax dollars, corruption in how medical research is skewed, and corruption in how the bureaucracy enriches themselves and our elected officials are not able or willing to even try to address it. The very surface layer of the onion would be the fact that Trump made a poor decision trusting this slime ball with the response to the virus. That alone insulated Fauci. Trump just can’t admit when he is wrong.
