I understand some folks don't believe in ghosts/spirits/ephemera.
All I can tell you for certain is this -
We built a house in 2020 on the oldest road in Georgia, the old Federal Road that dates to 1803. It is also part of the Trail of Tears. No house prior to ours has been on this property.
When we started building, stuff would move. Never far, never while someone was watching. A framing square left in a particular place would be moved to a different scaffold, or to a table. Happened often enough in the first week that we actually discussed where certain things were stored, so we know they moved. Behind a LOCKED door, and locked windows.
Fast forward to when we moved in. A book, dropped from waist height, makes a distinctive noise. Nothing else sounds quite the same. So when someone is alone in the house, and a book drops upstairs (hardwood floors), it's obvious what the sound is. Until you walk upstairs, and all the books are on the shelf, exactly where you left them. Then, while you are sitting downstairs, alone in the house, and all 16 stairs make the same noise that they do when someone walks down, what should you think?
Zero malicious or negative behavior. We have come to refer to the entity as George. He's not here every day, but almost every week we hear him/her/it move and make their presence known. As I have said before, we think the grandbaby can see him/her/it. She will be running down the sidewalk to the driveway, suddenly stop and point, then speak to whatever she saw, then walk back to the porch where I am. Again, no damage or apparent danger, but she obviously saw something.

Our farm house was built around 1830 and has been a hunting camp since the late 1960's. We have stories of it being haunted dating back to the early 1900's when people still lived there full time. Been a lot of hunters have come through there over the years and some of them have had experiences. I have a ton of great stories, everything from folks seeing apparitions, to doors opening and closing by themselves, to foot steps walking the hall to a battery operated alarm clock going off with no batteries in it. Had some guys painting the outside of the house in the early 1990's that left when they heard voices coming from inside. We have the original backstory to three of the ghosts that were passed down from the late 1800's through the 1930's.
I have hunted there my entire life and have never had anything happen other than hearing noises but those could have been caused by settling or critters. It has been mostly quiet for the last decade but every once in a while, someone will have an experience.
One recurring story is of a set of footsteps walking down the hall. One footstep and then a drag sound. Story goes that the occupant had a stroke when he found his son had committed suicide by hanging himself in the barn during the late 1800's. The stroke severely affected one of his legs and he walked with a step and a drag. People have been hearing it since my great grandparents lived in the house in the early 1900's. One of my dad's Green Beret team members married a girl from that area. During the late 1960's he brought his mother in law to the house to show her where he was hunting. She would not get out of the car and told him "I know this house and its haunted".
Who knows if it's true or not, but I have a lot of stories and most are too long to share here.

We did an experiment at work one day. We were out laying under ground utilities on Redstone Arsenal and had about 8 guys on our crew that day helping us. Old man got out a 2 sets of handmade dowsing rods and everyone used them to find a water line that had been installed decades earlier. We knew exactly where the waterline was cause we had the blue prints in our hand. Only one man read the prints so nobody knew where the line was and we didn't even know there was a line.
One set of rods were full copper and the other set were made from coat hangers.
Everyone that believed in the possibility of them working had them cross in their hand in the exact location. The ones that said it wouldn't work, theirs never moved.
We done this for years and it was the same each time. Cool experiment. The power of the human mind and the human consciousness is, I believe, an incredibly misunderstood and possibly underutilized part of our reality. I know both the CIA and the KGB have studied it for a long time, but both for nefarious reasons unfortunately. We did a similar experiment years ago using welding rods and it worked for everyone that tried it. One coworker hollered witchcraft, threw them at me and ran back inside when they crossed! I can’t explain it and I don’t think it’s supernatural but it works.

Lot folks don't believe in ghosts, but post up some off the wall crazy shit in the religious threads that they believe (and we all supposed to believe 😄) I certainly don't expect anyone to believe what I believe, but at least I have arrived at my own conclusions by using logical deduction based on the knowledge that is available.

Every time I’ve encountered these weird things I has Jesus to protect me from them out loud and so far so good.
I definitely believe in the subject and dimensions just like I believe in wind, gravity, tides, and magnetic force.

My point was I've read some crazy shit in religious threads that folks believe in on here through the years, but Scoff at the mere mention of "Ghosts"

This one of the strangest things I’ve ever seen Was turkey hunting and was standing on a small ridge overlooking an oak flat with turkey gobbling on the ridge across that flat I was about to make a move to get closer when I saw something that made me forget about turkey hunting This thing was coming across that oak flat at about the same speed that a man would walk It was cylindrical in shape and about 3’ in diameter and about 8’ tall It looked translucent like Saran Wrap and was either shimmering or spinning…I couldn’t tell which This thing moved across that oak flat maneuvering between the trees and made no sound and disturbed no leaves I just stood there and watched it until it went out of sight and I walked out to go home completely forgetting about that turkey It didn’t scare me at all but it did amaze me
When I need expert advice I tend to talk to myself The older I get the better I used to be

You a snake handler ? 🤣😂🤣 Naw but i bet you've handled some tube snakes, and You're still a IDOT by Gawd 😂 If you come on here and admit to handling Tube Snakes, we must have different definitions of a Tube Snake. To each his own though. By my definition I've only handled one, the same one, all my life. The older I get the more frequently it needs to come out too.
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

Never seen a ghost but when my son was very young he was talking to "someone" in his room and when we asked who, he said "bobby". One day we said have bobby come to the living room and he turned looked back and said he's not allowed lol. Strange part was some words weren't in his vocabulary...
