What ya got? I have some sweet corn coming off and would like to know how yall cook it. I mix some with cream, salt, pepper, milk, corn meal and butter earlier today. Cooked in a pot and it looks more like chowder to me. Damn good though. Granny made the best back in my youth but she never told us how to cook it.

We just cut it off cob, scrape the cob (actually have set up to do it) cook it with salt and black pepper. If it was any better I’d never get full.

YEP, for the best KISS - just keep it simple.......maybe and only maybe for a little richer add a pad or three of butter.

Ok, I cooked a pan full just a few minutes ago. Probably the way I cut it oof the cob but it seemed dry so I added butter and a little cream. It’s good. Probably really good with cut up tomatoes.

You have to scrape the cob or you end up with “whole” kernel corn.

I cut it off the cob and fry it in butter for about ten minutes. Add some cream and a little nutmeg and cover. Simmer it for about 20 minutes to reduce the liquid and get the consistency I want.

We don't eat a lot of corn. I've never really thought of how to cook it. We usually eat on the cob. I'll try one of these recipes.

I fry some bacon in cast iron, take it off when done then add chopped up green and red peppers to some off the bacon grease, after a few minutes add a few cloves of galic. Then add back the corn with some heavy cream and then add the bacon back. salt and pepper!
