I absolutely positively believe in witching sticks - I have seen it several times with buried electrical lines..
A guy I worked with was talking about using copper wire to find underground power lines and data lines - I called BS and had THE GUY standing there with a GPR to mark the line. So like any good redneck - I said laughed and said, "show me", that guy was absolutely spot on. I will say this - the guys was NEVER wrong, but we required the GPR for validation.
I tried the same exact technique, same wires, same everything as far as I know AND failed miserably even with the guys coaching. I think there are some people that can do it and some of us can't.
