I saw it play out the same way. I started duck hunting several years ago when I was a youngster and loved it my entire life, but I stopped about 7 years ago. It just got to the point it was so expensive, the juice wasn't worth the squeeze. I couldn't go back to public because now those places were over run or shot out by youngsters that didn't know enough to only shoot them once or twice a year. Ducks just don't go there now and the ones that would hammer them every Saturday in the same spot just can't figure out why.

That’s spot I told you about still produces when weather is right. A friends son sends me strap pics from there on occasion

We used to hunt the white and cache when it as public but not federal. Overnight stay in a houseboat and super provided which was usually fried deer steak. All for $75 a day lol
Creek monster guide service. Danny and butch were the two and we become good friends for a few years. Hunted with them as friends at the end of the season. Pulled 5-7 houseboats upriver and camped for a week. Man those were some good times.

Nowadays get your wallet out if you can. Most are gonna never see that unless for deep pockets

It’s life in general these days. We’re wealthier than ever before but it’s just too much fun nowadays so it cost real bills.
