welp got ole Smokey runnin’ … no spark so i pulled the flywheel & found the points gap was way off - adjusted it to spec & got fire on both plugs … compression measured out in range on both cylinders so on to gas - had the wrong size hose & bulb so replaced that & she fired right up … ain’t wanting to idle too good so i reckon i’ll tackle that next …
a tooth was broken on the tiller shaft gear - eBay’ed a part & fixed it right up … can’t wait to mount her on my G3 1448 & have a run around a lake soon! 👊🏻🇺🇸🎣

ALDeer physics: for every opinion, there's an equal & opposite opinion
A wise man can learn more from a foolish question than a fool can learn from a wise answer.
Used one just like it years ago. It was on a 14’ 76 model beavercraft boat. Wiley wound up with that ole thing. Boy it caught some fish in its time. Them was good motors, mine never did like to idle. While ago.
I think I have the same motor sitting in dad's shop. I know it needs coils. Don't have a big enough boat to put it on so haven't messed with it in years. Got my little two stroke Yammy running great and itching to run it, if Crowley Marine will ever send me the parts I ordered on June 28th.
