I suspect that this is actually what is happening in areas where folks claim to have “good genetics”…..Probably a lot of it is just occurring out of chance without folks knowingly doing it….. but I suspect you probably have some pockets where the same old doe lineages are recycling generationally on the same good nutrition and that's allowing higher end bucks to get kicked out to the landscape around them
I’ll expand on it more in the morning but the way I think this may be occurring in some places revolves around the balance of food to cover being heavily weighted toward lots of food with minimal amounts of cover…..
