I sometimes harvest the larger to put more energy into the smaller, but that's rare. Especially on the bells. My wife and I both want to harvest and use some of the bells and big jims. But have to make ourselves hold off to let them get as big as they can. I won't harvest unless they are turning color. What's the secret to bells? I've never been able to get them large like you find in stores Same here. If someone knows the secret, let us know.
