Because the SPR has now been drawn down so dangeroulsy low by this administration it does make one thing very clear.
It means that this administration went into this war unprepared for a full closure of the strait.
They should have had the SPR completely filled and topped off before taking any action. Also, they should have had more oil and refining capability up and running before taking any action.
Whether they started this conflict for good reasons or not can be debated. But the fact that they did it without thinking this part through shows a clear failure of planning. They could have waited a year to get their sh1t together before putting us and the World into an energy crisis.
