Here’s the whole story from the Department of Energy:
U.S. President Donald Trump requested that the International Energy Agency (IEA) conduct a coordinated release of oil from strategic reserves to combat soaring energy prices. The IEA's 32 member nations unanimously agreed to this request, announcing a historic release of 400 million barrels of oil and refined products from their national stockpiles. As part of this international effort, President Trump authorized the U.S. Department of Energy to release 172 million barrels from the U.S. Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR).
You sure that is not just more DJT propaganda, trying to make it look like he's saved the day? Where he's lying and claiming credit for something someone else suggested and he was only a minor part of the decision? Americans wanted gas down and Trump wanted to look like he's doing something to help?
That's exactly what you'd normally say about it, but since everyone, including me, is 100% against it and thinks it's foolish to have done it so early in the conflict and wasted that silver bullet, it's now gospel and Trump and the Energy department are all telling the truth for the first time ever. LOL
Y'all have said repeatedly that you cannot trust anything that the department of energy or Trump says about oil and that everything they do is all about making $$ trading on energy. So why believe it now?
