Just saw a post a moment ago that 2 boats are headed in for a weigh-in tonight with 113" and 116.5" respectively. Wish I was down there and I'd head over to The Wharf to watch....

ADSFR is also this weekend... add those 2 along with the Blue Angels this weekend and you've got a bunch of idiots with boats on the water (not all are idiots but there's gonna be a lot that shouldn't be on the water on a normal weekend).

I hate i missed that 75 boat convoy heading to the Pass the other morning. I'd be heading to the wharf if we were down this weekend.

Yep. They catching them too. One boat and four releases in a couple hours and the work of art was hot on his trails. Now he has a kill fish.
Love watching them weigh in.

It’s a lot of fun. I don’t remember it ever being the same thing week as the rodeo though? Is it usually the same weekend?
I fished the rodeo every year for about 20 years. Now you couldn’t pay me to be out there with those yay hoos. And I used to be one.

I’ve fished two billfish tournaments in my life and the amount of money that is gambled at those tournaments will get stupid. Real stupid. Oh I know. I have buddies and friends that fish them and a couple mate and captain boats. One of them won the tournament years ago at the wharf. Or the triple crown. One of them. Money I cannot fathom in them brown paper bags.

Art is one of the nicest multimillionaires in the fishing world I’ve dealt with. Think this is the third time he’s won the BMGC since he bought The Warf. The old joke around Orange Beach is what’s the main difference between Art Farve and cousin Brett? Art has money. He employs over 7000 people.

Hammerhead nailed it with the idiots on boats this weekend. Two fatal boating accidents in 24 hours by the Wharf on the Intercoastal and off Point Clear. Tragic.
