So wife and are doing weekly shopping Wal-Mart at Athens store. I walk up to the checker and say Hi how you doing like I always do. Completely ignored, could sense an attitude. I grab the bag of dog food from cart and place it on counter for her to scan, held it there for several seconds. Ignored again, so I just put the dog food back in cart. Finally gets done ringing up the food and says oh you put the dog food back in cart as she is walking by me to scan it. I said yeah you ignored me, then proceeds to tell me she don't eat venison as she is scanning my bag of deer corn that was sitting under the cart. I told her just because it says deer corn don't mean you can't feed to other animals like goats. She looks at me and says I don't know what you are talking about, thinking to myself yeah I know. My wife told me let it go deal with after we are done. So yeah she saw the corn as I walking up and it set her off!

Wasn't what she said it was her attitude that rubbed the wrong way, she was having a meltdown over this. I did talk to manager about it and she was cool and said she would talk to her and agreed with me that checkers need to keep their personal opinions to themselves. Not the first time I have had comments made from a checker about they don't like people killing deer. Told my wife they should stick her on the floor stocking shelves, make her stock all the deer corn. Think I will make a special trip and get a cart full of deer corn and make her check me out again.

Same here. The last time I remember buying something at Walmart is when I was working in Virginia 8 years ago and someone told me there was crappie in lake at the campground where I was staying. Needed a cheap spring reel and some Beetle Spins.

The Walmart plus home delivery is worth it. It works because Uber delivers it instead of Walmart. You also get to pick which Walmart you shop from if you have multiple locations close to you.

Maybe we just have better Walmart's down here in Baldwin. I've been shopping at Walmart ever since I can remember, never had a bad experience. I exclusively use the self-checkout now but even before they had them, the checkout was never a bad experience. I usually received compliments on how I loaded the conveyor, they would say it made it easier for them when bagging.

I love it when they get on their high horse while workin at walmart. but you got to love walmart where else can you get deer hunting stuff, beer and hemorrhoidal cream all in one stop.

One day we'll be telling our great grandkids "yeah we used to could walk in the supermarket and buy a 7 mm magnum and ammo.", and they will be in shock at how great it was.

Not sure about home delivery, but I did see two employees bring at least twenty bags out to the online pickup parking area and load a truck up for a lady.

Closest I've come was a young lady wouldn't pick up my container of nightcrawlers. I had to hold them while she hand scanned them. She just had a phobia with worms.

Just bought groceries there. Best choice available here. Bought golf glove there last night

Well I suppose I can see her point. You can buy chicken, beef, fish, and pork that was never killed at any grocery store.

I agree with everyone's disdain for walmart but I would be more concerned if there was no walmart......only competition amazon has and that is concerning.

I remember when the Walmart slogan was “American Made”. That was over 40 years ago and Sam Walton was still alive.
The first time I walked in a Supercenter and realized the toothpaste was a mile away from the milk that was the beginning of my disdain for the Walmart.

Y’all remember after Sam passed WM had china rename an area and called it Usa? Things were labeled Made in Usa with some sort of red white and blue flag.
