How many people in here objecting to tags have actually hunted in a state that required them? I’ve hunted in several over the years and never found them to be a problem. They are an enforcement tool like any other but I have found in Illinois, you DO NOT want to get caught with a deer without a tag. That’s the first thing the processors and taxidermists ask for.
Not just Illinois. It’s most Midwest states. Missouri takes their tags VERY serious. They don’t mess around.
