70gr tsx over 26.5 gr 8208xbr Fed Gold Medal AR primer NAs3 case

Thanks and I thought so as well so I ran it up to 27 grains but that’ll be max. No more case room and it’s compressed
Hot to 2900 plus and grouping wasn’t too bad. 6 power sucks for 100 year grouping the my old eyes.

I got to max quicker than published with LC brass and Tac and 75 gr RMR bullets

No primer cratering. No flattening of the primer. Looks good.

Gonna try TAC in those cases next and see

I was kinda surprised and glad I thought what you guys were seeing. Thai AR stuff spooks me a little when pushing it to max.

I've always considered primers to be a poor indicator of excess pressure. Ive seen Remingtons that flattened primers and cratered on the first firing of new brass but didn't on subsequent firings. Sloppy firing pin holes on Remington bolts. Sticky bolt lift always seems reliable which is something you can't feel with an AR.

They’re also one shot NAs3 cases that’ll handle higher pressures.

A similar load with LC brass, 75 gr rmr bullet over TAC shows a little pressure sign.

Those look pretty good to me man.
No signs of flattened primers, cratering, or leaks. I’d run ‘em!

New round of 9mm with federal match primers

There’s a few with .4 grains or powder can you tell which ones. Gonna run federal primers with the two loads.

What gets me is there were several guys that shoot majors or whatever it’s called and they’re loading past 9 grains of silhouette NAs3 case with 90 gr Leigh defender bullets. Leigh data shows 6.8 is max for a brass case. I loaded to 7.1 grains and 7.5 hit that wall. I’ve read the federal primers are soft and little hotter or so some say.

Trying to load 90gr defender in those cases tonight down on weight. Not much but should be 1/3 lighter for a mag full.

Leigh high sells a plus p and ply p plus that’s running over 1500 fps. I hit 1500 but those primers said stop.
Gonna do a lot more reading to see if there’s different route with powder and primer

I would try CCI primers.

I did and 7.1 grains got me almost to 1470ish but 7.5 showed signs of pressure but not as bad as the previous turnover 1500 by a hair. Gonna see what 7.3 brings.

I’m ok with them in my G19 and Echelon looking to see if my 365s should be. If not 7 grains and I’m sure it’ll still perform well if need be.
